Meet Kari

Kari is a current incumbent on the Leesburg Town Council. She and her husband, Matt, live in Leesburg with their daughter, their rescue beagle and pug, just down the street from where Kari grew up. In fact, you might remember her from her years spent either babysitting, volunteering, leading the LCHS cheer squad, or lifeguarding at local pools.

Kari has a BA in Political Science from Radford University, a MBA from Shenandoah University, and works in Defense Contracting.

She regularly engages with some of the top minds in the Defense and Intelligence communities, and for the past decade has been at the forefront of her division’s exponential growth. As a result, Kari was named to Loudoun Times Mirror's “40 under 40” in 2017.

As Chair of the Leesburg Town Planning Commission, Kari’s worked hard to provide a strong voice for residents when it comes to town growth and redevelopment. She’s always put residents first, and she always will.

In her spare time, Kari helps care for our town’s seniors, volunteers with local animal rescues, and lends a hand at her daughter's elementary school. She and her husband own and operate a small pop up paddleboard, kayak, and bike rental business and are former owners of a local CrossFit gym.

If re-elected, Kari would continue to fight on Council for local small business owners, and ensure that Leesburg remains a vital, thriving community while maintaining its historic small town charm.
