Transparency & Trust

Ask anyone who knows me and they’ll tell you, "What you see is what you get."

When it comes to Town Council, Leesburg residents should expect, and receive, nothing less than full transparency and a personal level of access you don’t normally get at any other level of government.

I’m born and bred Leesburg. It’s in my bones. I grew up here, got married here, and my parents live two streets down from where my daughter goes to school.

To me, my constituents will always be family. On Council, I’ll make sure that:

  • Live streaming Council meetings and making Town meetings minutes easily accessible

  • Hear from Kari on each bill and vote: I promise to break down the bills being considered before the Council and how I intend to vote

Economic Growth

Small businesses make up more than just our main street economy. They’re ambassadors of our community and the lifeblood of our local culture.

On Council, I’ll make it my business to:

  • Provide minute-by-minute updates on the laws coming out of town, state, county, and federal government that impact our community

  • Fight for Leesburg’s fair share of local, state, and federal grants to offset the impact of the pandemic without burdening the town’s rainy day fund

Affordability & The Future

Government’s first duty is to safeguard the hard earned money of each individual taxpayer. As the next member of Leesburg’s Town Council, I’ll:

  • Ensure every dollar is spent as effectively as possible

  • Deny any hiring of high-priced, politically connected consultants for town contracts

  • Revisit and revise our town plan on a more regular basis. Five years is too long to wait.

Leesburg has always been the ideal place in Northern Virginia to live, work, and raise a family – so, let’s make sure we keep it that way!
